Highlights
- A single vibroacoustic therapy session was associated with significant improvements across all ten wellness measures evaluated.
- The greatest benefits were observed for relaxation (+49%), freedom from stress (+45%), and freedom from anxiety (+39%).
- Energy, fatigue, mental clarity, and physical comfort also improved significantly following the session.
- Overall wellness scores increased by 35%, highlighting the potential of vibroacoustic therapy to promote immediate well-being.
Study Design
In this preliminary report, 103 participants completed a wellness questionnaire before a vibroacoustic therapy session, and 85 participants also completed the post-session assessment. The dataset represented 87 unique individuals (67 women and 20 men) with a mean age of 50.6 years.
The questionnaire assessed 10 wellness domains, including emotional state, anxiety, stress, relaxation, mental clarity, fatigue, energy, aches and pains, physical comfort, and overall well-being. Pre- and post-session responses were compared using appropriate statistical analyses with significance set at p < 0.05.
What Did They Find?
All wellness outcomes showed statistically significant improvements following a single session (p < 0.0001).
The largest improvements were observed in:
- Relaxation: +49%
- Freedom from stress: +45%
- Freedom from anxiety: +39%
- Energy level: +37%
- Freedom from fatigue: +37%
Participants also reported improvements in mental clarity (+27%), emotional state (+27%), physical comfort (+27%), freedom from aches and pains (+32%), and overall well-being (+31%). Overall, the Total Wellness Score increased by 35% after a single session.
Why It Matters
Vibroacoustic therapy combines low-frequency mechanical vibration with sound stimulation to create a multisensory intervention that may support relaxation and autonomic regulation.
In this preliminary evaluation, a single session was associated with meaningful improvements across both psychological and physical dimensions of wellness. The greatest effects were observed in stress reduction and relaxation, accompanied by higher energy, improved mental clarity, and greater physical comfort.
Although these findings are based on self-reported outcomes from an observational pre-post assessment without a control group, the consistent improvements across every wellness domain support further investigation into vibroacoustic therapy as a non-invasive approach for promoting immediate well-being and supporting nervous system regulation.
