Patient Background
A 54-year-old male truck driver presented with chronic neck pain that had persisted for over 10 years. As a father of four who enjoys playing baseball with his sons, he found himself sidelined due to debilitating pain. Simple tasks like turning his head to back up his truck or swinging a bat had become unbearable.
The patient had previously tried various treatments, including painkillers, therapy, stretching, and heat applications, with little to no lasting relief. Chiropractic adjustments provided only temporary relief, lasting no more than a few days. His cervical pain radiated into his head and down his arms and hands, significantly affecting his quality of life, including sleep and daily activities. Frustrated with the ongoing pain, he had even considered neck surgery or pain injections.
Initial Examination & Diagnosis
Upon evaluation, the patient exhibited a 70% reduction in cervical range of motion (ROM) in all directions. Clinical tests revealed:
- Soto Hall Test & Cervical Compression: Positive for pain
- Cervical Distraction Test: Positive for pain relief
- Neurological Findings: Decreased C2 dermatome sensation on the left side.
X-ray Findings (Taken on 9/19/2024):
- Grade 2 anterolisthesis of C2 on C3 was noted disturbing George’s line (see images #1).
- Other findings not noted in this study: The patient was diagnosed with Cervical Disc Degeneration and Spinal Sprain. He had previously been told by other doctors that surgery was his only remaining option.
Treatment Plan
We recommended a combination approach, including:
- RheeGen Stem Cell Therapy (daily topical application for 30 days)
- Shockwave Therapy (once per week for 4 weeks)
- Chiropractic Spinal Care (3 times per week).
This treatment plan was chosen due to its ease of application, lack of downtime, and ability to help the patient regain function quickly.
Results After 30 Days
Following one month of treatment, the patient showed significant improvement:
- Cervical ROM: Improved by 50%
- Soto Hall & Cervical Compression Tests: Now negative
- Neurological Findings: Improved C5 dermatome sensation on the left side.
X-ray Findings (Taken on 1/23/2025):
Grade 1 anterolisthesis of C2 on C3. An overall improvement of 50%. Indicating healing of the ligaments of that segment. (See images #2)
Other findings not noted in this study.
Patient Testimonial
“I noticed a significant reduction in pain within the first 2-3 applications of RheeGen. My pain went from an unbearable 10/10 to barely noticeable, except during exaggerated movements, within the first two weeks. I feel like I got my life back. Today, the pain is mostly gone, and I can turn my head without discomfort. I can finally play baseball with my boys again and look forward to the new season. If I had known about this treatment earlier, I would have tried it first!”
Conclusion
This case highlights the effectiveness of RheeGen Stem Cell Therapy in conjunction with Shockwave Therapy and Chiropractic Care for cervical pathology. The patient showed C2-C3 spondylolisthesis improvement from Grade 2 to Grade 1 indicates the stability of above-mentioned ligament sprain improvement. The patient, who had previously exhausted other treatment options, experienced substantial pain relief and functional recovery—without surgery or invasive procedures.
